Michael Francis Moore, né le 23 avril 1954 à Flint dans le Michigan (États-Unis), est un cinéaste, auteur et commentateur politique libéral américain. Moore critique la mondialisation, les grandes entreprises, la possession d'armes d'assaut, les présidents américains Bill Clinton et George W. Bush, la guerre en Irak et le système de santé américain dans ses œuvres écrites et cinématographiques.
Il est le réalisateur et producteur de Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko et Capitalism: A Love Story, quatre des dix documentaires les plus rentables de tous les temps. En septembre 2008, il a diffusé son premier film gratuit sur Internet, Slacker Uprising, documentant sa croisade personnelle visant à encourager davantage d'Américains à voter aux élections présidentielles. Il a également écrit et joué dans les émissions télévisées TV Nation et The Awful Truth.
